FAQs

What is CTP insurance?

Compulsory Third Part Insurance (CTP) is a compulsory insurance required by all states and Territories and Australia. CTP is typically included with your registration costs but this can vary state by state. CTP covers the cost associated with a claim against someone you injured or has died because of a road vehicle accident. This means all motor vehicle accidents with registration are covered by CTP. Due to the complexity, we recommend contacting one of our motor vehicle experts to explore your options further.

Can I access compensation if the other person is not insured?

Yes. If the at fault vehicle was registered, you will be able to claim as insurance is included in the vehicle registration. However, if it doesn’t there may be options available. Strict time limits apply so you should contact a lawyer.
