Simon Morrison

Simon sees it as an honour and a great privilege to use his skills and expertise in legal and management functions to help get the best outcomes for our clients.

Simon is Managing Director of Shine Justice Limited and a Director of Shine Lawyers NZ Limited. He started with Shine Lawyers as an articled clerk in 1988, back when the firm was a small country practice operating in Toowoomba, Queensland. He became a partner of the firm in 1995 and led it to listing on the ASX in 2013.  

Right from the beginning, Simon believed in Shine Lawyers’ capability to provide justice for everyday Australians who had been wronged. 

Having spent over 30 years at Shine Lawyers helping an ever-increasing number of clients nationwide, Simon feels fortunate to have been involved in many areas of the business and to have undertaken a variety of roles as the firm continued to grow. 

Simon has served as Chief Executive Officer of Shine Justice Limited and continues to serve as Managing Director. His passion for helping clients to seek justice has never wavered. As Managing Director, Simon now focusses on expanding Shine’s international mass torts business. 

A former National President of the Australian Lawyers Alliance (ALA) and chair of the ALA's National Workers Compensation Special Interest Group, Simon sits on the Board of Governors of the American Association of Justice. 

Simon has expertise in and is an acknowledged leader in workers’ compensation and is a Queensland Law Society Accredited Specialist in personal injury law. He has given evidence at numerous government inquiries, assisted in drafting legislation and has spoken at international, national and state conferences. 

Simon looks forward to seeing Shine Lawyers globally right wrongs, wherever and whenever they occur. 

Simon has a Bachelor of Laws from Queensland University of Technology.
