Nina is a Special Counsel with Shine Lawyers’ Abuse Law practice in Toowoomba. We are pleased to welcome Nina back to Shine. She had previously worked in our Abuse Law practice in Brisbane, first as a paralegal and later as an abuse lawyer for over ten years.  

Nina has spent over a decade advocating for hundreds of survivors of abuse, including against Commonwealth and state institutions, churches, schools, universities and colleges, sporting organisations and individuals.  

Nina’s practice is trauma-informed, and she strives to put her clients’ health and well-being first. The impacts of trauma can be devastating. Nina finds it rewarding to be able to obtain compensation for her clients, as well as an apology and acknowledgement of harm from large institutions. 

Nina is a vocal advocate for abuse survivors. She is highly regarded in Abuse Law, having represented and advocated for hundreds of survivors in various settings, including at trial, dispute resolution and in class actions.
