Nathan Buyers
Senior Solicitor
"As lawyers, I believe our role is to give power back to our clients where there might have been an imbalance, so they can achieve the outcome they deserve."
Abuse law
"My experiences have lent me unique insights into the plights of vulnerable Australians and the different ways people can be let down by societal and governmental care systems. I am motivated by the perseverance of survivors of abuse to strive to obtain the positive outcomes to which they are entitled."
Nathan is a Senior Solicitor at our Newcastle branch, in our Abuse Law practice, working compassionately and tirelessly to help survivors of abuse get the restitution they deserve.
Nathan has garnered previous experience with a range of Personal Injury matters, before coming now to specialise in abuse cases.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Nathan spent some time in the welfare sector, at the NSW independent legal complaints body, and as a volunteer at a children’s hospital. Through these experiences, he is driven to assist survivors who have been let down by care systems.
Nathan has completed a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Communication from the University of Newcastle. He was admitted to legal practice in February 2020.
