Jodie Willey

Inspired by the opportunity to help people, Jodie chose a career in law because she wanted to bring about change and help give a voice to the underdog.

Jodie has been a part of the Shine Lawyers team since 1995 and has worked in leadership and legal roles across a number of areas of the business. She is highly experienced in all areas of personal injuries practice; including public liability law, motor vehicle accident claims, abuse law, and worker’s compensation claims. Her experience and dedication to helping clients access justice after being wronged saw Jodie accredited by the Queensland Law Society as a Personal Injury Specialist.

During her time in the legal team, Jodie was integral to a number of high profile cases, where she fought for the rights of her clients and helped them to access the compensation they needed to get their lives back on track.

Jodie’s time at Shine has also included working in support and operations divisions of the business, which has helped Jodie to hone her expertise in strategy, operations, learning and development, process optimisation, information and data-driven activities and innovation. This included working as the Chief Executive Officer for Shine Lawyers for several years, before transitioning to focus specifically on leading the Innovation function for the Shine group.

Each of these roles has distinguished Jodie with a unique combination of skills and experience which she now draws upon in her role as Chief Operating Officer, where her focus continues to be on making the law easier, more accessible and convenient for clients to access justice.
