Ellie is passionate about superannuation and disability insurance law. She is grateful that her legal expertise gives her the opportunity to make a difference in her clients’ lives.

Ellie is a Senior Associate in Shine Lawyers’ Superannuation and Disability Insurance Law team, based in Brisbane. 

Prior to joining Shine Lawyers, Ellie gained significant superannuation and disability law experience as a law clerk, paralegal and solicitor. Ellie has successfully managed and settled hundreds of total and permanent disability (TPD) claims, income protection claims and death benefit claims against many of Australia’s biggest life insurance companies. 

As one of the leaders of Shine’s Superannuation and Disability Insurance Law practice in Queensland, Ellie understands that the disability insurance claim process can be stressful and ensures an empathetic, client-first approach. Ellie has considerable experience in claims where the insurer has raised eligibility concerns and has a special interest in claims where procedural fairness or a decline has been issued. This means she has a well-developed understanding of how life insurance companies operate.
