Darfel is a solicitor working in Shine Lawyers’ Class Actions practice, based in Brisbane. She has worked at Shine since June 2021, starting as a paralegal, transitioning into a law clerk and as a solicitor since her 2024 admission.
Darfel has also gained valuable legal experience working at the Director of Public Prosecutions, assisting Crown Prosecutors and the legal team to prepare criminal matters for court. Darfel gained exposure to and a deeper understanding of court procedures and processes, which are integral to her role as a solicitor.
As part of her university studies, Darfel undertook an internship with BABSEACLE, a global not-for-profit organisation enabling access to justice and legal education. During this experience, Darfel’s passion for justice, accessibility and inclusivity grew, which has informed her practice as a solicitor.
