Charmaine is a Legal Practice Manager and Special Counsel in Shine Lawyers’ Abuse Law Practice. Charmaine has over 12 years of experience, combining her day to day abuse law work with her passion for social justice. Before practising as a lawyer, Charmaine was already a keenly immersed in cases through her work in legal support roles during her studies.

Charmaine is a true advocate for her clients, taking the time to really listen to what has happened to them and find the best solution for them. She is driven to genuinely help people, doing everything in her power to protect their rights. Charmaine is keenly aware that her clients often come to her in crisis and is proud to be the one in their corner, fighting for them.

Charmaine works in the Shine Lawyers’ Abuse Law Team. She has lived and worked on the Sunshine Coast community her whole life and loves being part of this close community. In addition to her work with Shine, Charmaine is actively involved in improving access to legal services for the local community, volunteering her time with the Suncoast Community Legal Centre and as Secretary of the Maroochy Chamber of Commerce.
