Mary Larson brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to our Cairns Abuse team. With a background as a Clinical Social Worker specialising in mental health, elder abuse, family violence, and child abuse, Mary is a subject matter expert in child abuse and child protection standards of care. Her commitment to helping survivors is deeply rooted in compassion and a genuine passion for making a difference. Mary dedicates her time to community service, with a history of volunteering with homelessness and mental health charities. Additionally, Mary is involved with SheSails through the Cairns Yacht Club, a program that empowers local women by teaching them sailing skills in a supportive environment.
